This Path
Joy and gratitude is what overcomes me each time I am aware and see the changes happening to the students due to the practice of vijñāna yoga.
The most intense and deeper changes happen to those participating in the Teacher Training Course, because of its intensity, duration, personal daily practice, study of the scriptures and dedication.
But also in students coming regularly to lessons once or twice a week these changes happen. Joking but truthfully, I say that their posture becomes “majestic”.
In the beginning when they start coming they had not realized that they had toes in their feet and how useful they are. Slowly, slowly, the whole body starts waking up. The spine gets strong, as well as their personality.
Unfortunately, this is not a process for everybody. One needs to be courageous and dedicated to dare jump into this quantum leap. I see also people not daring to make the last step.
Here there is no gain of power or wealth. There is no competition or a place to reach. There is just being with the self: the body, the mind and the soul. That can be very confronting and even scary. Transformation is not easy. One needs to embrace it with a wide heart and full trust.
The reward is a tool that like a precious jewel, you will treasure for the rest of your life. It transforms you into a better person, it calms down your daily moods that overcome you with no apparent reason making you realize that each drama is not permanent, and not really an insolvable drama. It gives you contentment and clarity of mind, awareness of body and a greater sense of intuition.
These tools you will keep on cherish for the rest of your life. It is an ongoing process once you start walking this path.
